Fine Art Portraits |Wilbraham, MA Studio photography

If you have been following me on social media you have seen I have been stretching my wings a little and doing something a bit different. I was not able to use the studio space as much as I wanted last year because of Covid shutdowns. So I am excited to try different kinds of portraiture. Which brings me to these images. I am calling this fine art photography. What is different is that every image is hand edited- a process that can take 45-an hour image! It creates a whole different look. What I am loving is this look is timeless and classic. This is the portrait that can hang on your wall for years to come.

As I started to play around I put out a call to former clients. First up was Miss S. I did her senior pictures in the fall. I reached out to her because I remember she was great at posing and enjoyed a little more dramatic look. I told her to bring a friend. For these pictures we weren’t going for classic as much as dramatic. These ladies nailed it!! It was a very fun afternoon for all of us.

Miss G was next. She came for headshots for a dance competition and I asked if she would be willing to stay a little longer to play around. She was a very willing and fun model!

Then I put out a call for siblings, I was looking for 2 sets. And I lucked out. First in Miss A and her brother Mr S. What a good sport he was. We mixed it up playing with the flowers and hair but also just doing classic images. I am sooo in love with these pictures.

Last – but definitely not least – sweet Miss A and Miss C. I haven’t seen them in years but LOVED seeing them again. And Mom knows me…. so I am pretty sure she knew it was coming when I asked her to get into a few pictures as well. Playing dress-up is fun. Having a reason to get dressed and look nice- when honestly we just aren’t going anywhere or doing anything- is so fun.

I told the girls I wanted them to try to be serious. If you know these girls that is a challenge, but they were total champs.

Thank you Mom, I know you will treasure these pictures for years. And honestly I am a little sad I don’t have anything like this of me with my kiddos.

Don’t worry we did smile!!

Which brings me to – I am going to start offering Fine Art Photography sessions. These sessions are a little different. While typically I will spend more time editing your session than we actually spend taking the pictures this is especially true x3 for these sessions. So you won’t be receiving a huge gallery of images. But you will have a say in which ones get edited. For the first 5 families that book these sessions, the fee is $299 and you receive 3 edited images and a discount on prints- these images are just crying to be printed large! I can guarantee you that the price for these sessions will increase the more I do- so jump in now. Contact me!!
