Location Spotlight- Grandmother’s Garden
Looking for a nice location?
Let me tell you about Grandmother’s Garden in Westfield, MA
Your senior pictures are special and for many it starts with deciding on the perfect location. If you scroll through my blog I talk about a bunch of different locations in the area that I use a lot, so if this one isn’t your cup of tea keep scrolling! Grandmother’s Garden is located in Westfield, MA. It has become very popular recently among local photographers so it will be a rare night that we will be the only ones on site. But worry not, no one will be able to tell in the final photos.
As the name implies the main draw is the garden and flowers. These photos were taken in August and September, that is when the garden is at its most beautiful. It is a wonderful back drop. The garden itself is a pretty compact area, the parking lot is right next to the garden. So if you are not looking to have a whole adventure walking everywhere for your pictures it is a great location option- especially if we are looking at a hot summer night!
The garden also has some lovely structures that work great for pictures as well. For me I will always prefer locations that have options. Just a field of flowers doesn’t do it for me, I need variety. And then your pictures will have variety. The highlight is the beautiful gazebo in the center. It offers so many choices, especially as the sun moves along.
Towards the back of the garden you will find this sweet wishing well and lovely wooden arbor.
If you follow me you know I ALWAYS do a walking shot in my senior sessions (and yes they are awkward and yes the seniors are always skeptical and yes everyone loves them in the end). The garden offers so many walking paths and benches along the way, so you know it is perfect for me!
If you are interested in this location, plan ahead. As I mentioned above it works well for a short window- August and September So please reach out in time. Please note there is a photographer’s fee for Grandmother’s Garden that I will cover. This is location works really well for families too!
Not a garden person? I have a bunch of other locations that work for all types of scenarios.
