The Who I Am Projects  have been such a success and honestly the highlight of my year that I am offering them again this year.  Tween ages are often forgotten. At ages 10-13, kids aren’t children anymore but aren’t quite teens. I’m making it my personal mission to capture those lost preteen years. The goal is to help tweens look and feel beautiful and have unshakable confidence in themselves as they enter and navigate middle school.

I can talk at you for hours about the positive affects this session will have on your girl.  But I think this year I will ask their loved ones to do it for me.

"I loved the “Who I Am” project for our daughter! We bought it as a 12th birthday present for her in 2016. Deb Hanna made it such a fun experience for all of us and the end result was a book and memories of beautiful words from our family members and friends, that she can (and does!) look at often.  Deb was able to make our daughter laugh and captured her smile and fun personality and all the while, made sure the focus of this project truly was on my tween.  The tween stage of a child’s life can be a trying time and I appreciate the opportunity to show our daughter how much we all love her. We loved every minute of her experience!  Deb, you are a consummate professional and we shared some fun laughs in the process."

"The whole experience was great! Deb really worked with my daughter to make the shoot special and fun.  The pictures Deb took really captured her personality.  The quotes from family and friends really tie the project together. My daughter just recently pulled out the album to show relatives during the holidays. It still brings a smile to her face when she's looking at the album and reading the quotes."

"I signed my 12 year old daughter up for the Who I Am project early this year as I wanted to capture her fleeting tween years in a special way. Maya does not like to have her picture taken. And while she is not shy, she is normally quite reserved, especially around people she doesn't know. I was a little leery as to how Deb would be able to capture the essence of Maya. But she did! Deb immediately got Maya to come out of her shell. Maya couldn't stop laughing the whole time! Deb was able to forever freeze in time who my daughter was at 12 years old. And while Maya is super embarrassed every time I show her video to everyone, she secretly loves that she has it. I've even caught her sitting in her room looking at her photo book, reading the quotes people wrote about her. She doesn't let on, but it's something she treasures. Maya has already changed so much since her photo shoot. I'm forever grateful to Deb and her Who I Am project for capturing her innocence and sass and confidence at the age of 12."

"The Who I am Project was such an amazing experience for Skylar. She had so much fun during the photo shoot.  Deb really did a nice job capturing who Skylar really is through her pictures. When Skylar was surprised with the slide show and book she was smiling from ear to ear. She loved to read what her family and friends wrote about her. This project really helped her to have more confidence in herself. I wish every tween/teen could have this experience.  Our family had such a great time filling out the questions about Sky. It gave everyone, including her younger brother a chance to express how we feel about Skylar. This is something that she will have for the rest of her life to look at when she is feeling down about herself. Thank you so much Deb! This was truly a gift for the entire family."

I could keep sharing- Moms emailed or stop me in town all the time telling me how great this experience was for their girls or their friends.  In fact just a week ago I had a lovely conversation with a grandmother of one of the girls from last year.

How does it work??

I am looking for girls ages 10-13. I will ask the model and their parents a few questions, then combine the text and photographs to create one impactful piece of art.  We want to capture the personality of these tweens and record the last stage of their childhood before they become young ladies. We want them to realize their true beauty so that they are confident in themselves as they travel through middle school.   Imagine the impact a single beautiful image can do for your tween’s self-image.

Please contact me by January 15th, 2018 if you are interested in having your daughter participate.   These sessions will occur January through March 2018.  We will take the pictures at your home or a studio I am borrowing for this purpose.  The session itself is complimentary but I am asking for a $100 deposit to secure your spot, and will be taken off your final order. Our goal is to create a gorgeous group of photos you’ll love and that truly show your daughter’s spirit and soul! Many people like to use these photos as birthday, holiday, and “just because” gifts for their daughter. These sessions will lend themselves best to Albums and Images boxes and those collections start at $250.

I look forward to hearing from you!
